Akright Chess Club was born from a simple scheduling problem. Two families in Akright City — the Mwanjes and the Asobolas — were each hiring private chess coaches for their children, unaware of the other. National Chess Coach Mr. Ssonko, who coached both families, suggested they share a coach to split costs. But when schedules proved incompatible, Counsel Nassir Mwanje asked a question that changed everything: “Why not create a chess club instead?”
